Distance Craniosacral Sessions
Healing doesn't require you to be in the same room—or even the same state.
Vela Healing Arts now offers craniosacral therapy at a distance, meaning over a video platform (Zoom, FaceTime, or other) with or without video on, and/or via phone, depending on your preference (and sometimes on technology’s whims, so we will have our phones for backup if we use a video platform).
Distance craniosacral therapy offers the same gentle, deeply restorative work as an in-person session. Whether you live far from Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, have mobility challenges that make travel difficult, are navigating a busy season of life, or simply feel most at ease receiving care in your own home, distance sessions make it possible to access this work wherever you are.
How Does Distance Craniosacral Work?
Craniosacral therapy already works at a subtle level, tuning into the body's fluid rhythms, energetic patterns, and the quiet intelligence that underlies all healing. That same intelligence doesn't stop at the boundary of a treatment table.
Quantum science has demonstrated that we are not isolated, bounded physical forms. We are electromagnetic fields in constant relationship with the larger field of the universe. The principle of non-locality shows us that focused, conscious attention can connect with and influence another person's system regardless of physical distance. This is the foundation of distance healing: intention as the point of contact, presence as the therapeutic field.
In a distance session, I will tune into your craniosacral system with the same quality of intelligent listening I bring to in-person work, tracking your body's rhythms, noticing where there is holding or restriction, and supporting your system's own unfolding. Many clients are surprised to feel sensations during distance sessions that mirror what they experience on the table: warmth moving through the body, a release of tension, a deep settling of the nervous system, or a sense of something long-held beginning to soften and shift.
What to Expect
Before your session, we will connect over video platform or by phone. You'll then find a quiet, comfortable space where you can lie down or recline, somewhere you won't be disturbed for the length of your session. You remain fully clothed, just as you would in person.
During the session, we may check in briefly about what you're experiencing, or you may simply rest in stillness while we work. Some clients like to keep a light phone or video connection open throughout; others prefer to settle into silence. Together, we'll find what supports your system best.
Afterward, I will share observations from the session and any guidance for integration. One of the gifts of distance work is that you can remain in that quiet, receptive state as long as you need. No commute, no transition, just time to let the work settle in.
Who Can Benefit
Distance craniosacral therapy is a wonderful option for anyone who:
lives outside the Hardwick area or is traveling
prefers to receive care from home
has chronic pain, fatigue, or mobility challenges that make in-person visits difficult
is navigating anxiety, trauma, or nervous system dysregulation and finds their own environment most supportive
wants to maintain the momentum of their healing work between in-person sessions
It is also beautifully suited for babies and young children, who can receive sessions while resting or even playing at home.
The Same Commitment to Your Care
Whether in person or at a distance, my approach remains rooted in the same foundational trust: your body holds the blueprint for its own healing. My role, in the room or across any distance, is to listen deeply, hold a steady and nourishing relational field, and follow the wisdom of your system as it finds its way toward greater ease, vitality, and wholeness.
